Look how far we have come

Looking back at technology of the past is always a stark reminder of how far the industry has come. At this year's North American Manure Expo (NAME), being held August 15th and 16th in Brookings, S.D, attendees will have the chance to see manure application equipment from days gone by.

Manure spreaders began as ground-driven units, manually pulled by a horse or team of horses. The first automated manure spreader was designed in 1875. On day two of the event, NAME will kick off the afternoon of on-field equipment demonstrations with a classic horse-drawn manure spreader demonstration.

Organizers hope attendees will take this opportunity to step back in time and marvel at the advancements that have been made in technology, equipment, knowledge and best management practices.

Join us August 15th and 16th for two days of industry-focused farm tours, educational seminars and on-field equipment demonstrations.
