Only a few days remain before the start of North America's largest manure-specific trade show and field day.

The 2019 North American Manure Expo will be held July 31 and Aug. 1 at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, IN. The Expo will bring two days of technology, educational sessions and equipment in action to its first-ever stop in Indiana.

Kicking off on Wed. July 31, the first day features tours of local beef, poultry and dairy operations, as well as a swine workshop. Pre-registration is required for the tours and the workshop, which cost $20 to attend and include lunch and transportation to and from Fair Oaks Farms.

Following the tours, attendees will have an opportunity to view lagoon agitation equipment demonstrations before returning to the show grounds to visit the trade show and take part in industry presentations.

On Thurs. Aug. 1, choose from 24 different manure-related education talks, which have been arranged in four concurrent sessions. Themes include: manure and nutrient management basics; manure and soil; safety and health with manure; and new technologies in manure management. Continuing education credits will be available for licensed manure haulers and applicators and certified crop advisers in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Minnesota. Additional state credits have also been requested.

The trade show continues for the second day of the Expo, with plenty of time to interact with vendors, see the newest technologies for manure management and make new connections. Be sure to catch the solid and liquid manure applicator field demonstrations.

The North American Manure Expo promises to be a great opportunity to see and learn everything there is to know about manure application and management. Don't miss out – register now!
