Manure survey: Waste or valuable agricultural resource?

A team of university educators and agricultural organizations released a survey hoping to better understand what impacts manure use on cropland. Applicators and users of manure are invited to complete the online survey before it closes on Jan. 31, 2020.


Biogas rule changes to increase economic opportunities in Ontario

The Ontario government launched consultations to enable biogas upgrading to produce renewable natural gas on the farm, ways to streamline approvals, and requirements for off-farm and agricultural feedstocks.


2019 Biogas Award Winners announced

The winning projects in dairy and agriculture were the Valley View project, which creates renewable natural gas (RNG) from hog waste, and the Calumet Renewable Energy project which manages dairy RNG through a virtual pipeline.
