Major Wisconsin manure-to-RNG project now operational

A partnership between three Wisconsin dairies, Brightmark and Dane County, WI, will convert 90,000 gallons of manure to renewable natural gas each day, and makes selling biogas more accessible for other WI farmers.


New Ontario legislation protects farm and food safety

The Government of Ontario recently passed Bill 156, which balances the public’s right to protest with protecting farms from trespassing and harassment, and the Provincial Animal Services Act.


Michigan farm industry resists new manure regulations

The regulation, which came into effect on April 1, 2020, prohibits manure application during January, February or March, with some exceptions, in an effort to reduce nutrient runoff and water pollution.
