WHY JHSC CERTIFICATION TRAINING?
|
|
It's the law. If you're a company with 20 or more workers, the law requires you to have a Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC). At least two members of a JHSC must be certified by completing special training.
Did you know refresher certification training is mandatory?
If you were certified on or after March 1, 2016, you must complete refresher training every 3 years to maintain your certification. If you were certified under the ‘old' standard (before March 1, 2016), refresher training still makes good sense and is an excellent way for you to stay up to date.
When committee members are well-trained, they're better at identifying hazards and recommending improvements – and they're better health & safety leaders.
