Winnipeg hands down punishment during probe into inspectors' work logs

WINNIPEG - The City of Winnipeg says three employees have been suspended without pay, two others have quit and one has retired as an internal investigation continues into city property inspectors who allegedly slacked off on the job.


Cape Breton coal mining suspended after new roof collapse; no injuries reported

DONKIN, N.S. - Operations at Canada's only operating underground coal mine have been suspended due to another roof collapse, this time in the entrance tunnel to the Cape Breton colliery.
