Extended application range for Dräger Benzene pre-tube, 0.025 – 100 ppm

Good news! The application range of our benzene pre-tube has been extended to 100 ppm. An improved reagent system and intensive tests have made this change possible.

With the extended application range, this pre-tube offers two applications:

  • Using the PID LC ppb Sensor, the pre-tube enables selective Benzene measurements for occupational exposure limits in the range of 0-5 ppm
  • Using the PID HC Sensor, the pre-tube enables selective Benzene measurements in the range of 25-40 ppm to determine whether a respiratory filter (APR) or supplied air respirator (SAR or SCBA) is required

Ralph McGinn, former chair of the WorkSafeBC Board of Directors, was a lifelong advocate and leader in the field of occupational health and safety in Canada and internationally. To commemorate his tremendous contributions, WorkSafeBC has established the Ralph McGinn Postdoctoral Fellowship award.

We’re looking for recent doctoral graduates who will help lead and improve occupational health and safety and work disability in Canada. The award is open to researchers holding a postdoctoral position at a Canadian university or research institution.
