Ontario proposes changes to improve trucking safety

The Ontario government has introduced legislation aimed at strengthening the province’s commercial vehicle enforcement program. The Safer Roads and Communities Act would increase the powers of Ministry of Transportation Enforcement Officers (TEOs), allowing them to compel trucks and commercial vehicles to pull over.

Amazon's self-driving robotaxi under investigation after 2 rear-end crashes

Amazon’s self-driving robotaxi unit is being investigated by the U.S. government's highway safety agency after two of its vehicles braked suddenly and were rear-ended by motorcyclists. Both crashes involved Toyota Highlander SUVs with autonomous driving technology.
