Gas well fire north of Calgary finally out; investigations into cause underway

An energy company that runs a natural gas well north of Calgary says a roughly 24-hour fire that injured five workers has finally been snuffed out.


Company fined $55K for workplace injury in SK

Summit Wireline Inc. has pleaded guilty to one violation of The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 2020. The company was fined for contravening clause 3-6 (1) of the regulations (being an employer, fail to ensure that all work at a place of employment is sufficiently and competently supervised, resulting in a serious injury to a worker).
