SK introduces new legislation to protect wildland firefighters, out of province workers

Saskatchewan’s provincial government has introduced amendments to The Workers' Compensation Act, 2013 that, if passed, will see presumptive cancer coverage available to wildland firefighters and provide voluntary coverage to Saskatchewan employers whose staff work out-of-province and whose usual place of residence is in Canada.


Updated workplace first aid requirements coming to PEI in January

The Workers Compensation Board of PEI has updated the Occupational Health and Safety Act General Regulations related to first aid requirements to align with the Canadian Standards Association guidelines. These changes will be in effect starting Jan. 1, 2025.
