New fentanyl and fentanyl citrate exposure limits now in effect for B.C.

WorkSafeBC’s board of directors has approved adoption of the new American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists Threshold Limit Value (ACGIH TLV) of 0.0001 mg/m3 (8-hour exposure limit) for fentanyl and fentanyl citrate, as fentanyl, inhalable.


Workplace fatality results in $20,000 fine for foreman

A foreman with Road-Ex Contracting Ltd. has been fined $20,000 after an incident that fatally injured a worker on a construction site in Caledon, Ont.


Construction project supervisor fined $10,000 after workplace injury

A project supervisor has been fined $10,000 after a worker was injured falling through an opening in the floor of a home under construction in Toronto.


Company fined $175,000 after worker injured by pinch point of a machine

Canadian General - Tower Limited has been fined $175,000 after a worker became caught in the pinch point of a machine and was critically injured.
