Building infrastructure for the city of the future

Building infrastructure for the city of the future

Strengthening the city’s infrastructure is vital to its growth and ability to compete with other global cities but it also builds a stronger Toronto. We’re on the cusp of change with a warming climate that will bring more extreme weather events and we have to be ready.

RICS is a global professional body that brings together senior industry professionals for a dialogue about the built environment. Construction standards, PropTech, infrastructure, investment and lending practices have all been topics at RICS-hosted roundtables, workshops and seminars. The RICS Summit Series Americas 2018 is a series of summits in seven different global cities to push these important topics and bring together professionals who can drive change.

Mayor John Tory will speak about infrastructure and the improvements made during his time as Toronto’s mayor including resilience, future-planning and the environment. John McKendrick will speak about the International Construction Measurement Standards and why Infrastructure Ontario is requiring contractors to adopt these standards. Susan Neil from Hanscomb will shed light on what to expect.

Join industry thought-leaders on June 4 in Toronto to discuss the issues that matter. Enter code RICSDISC50 to register at $50 off the member rate.
