High-climbing silo repairs

Officials at a Canadian cement plant devised a unique plan for inspecting and repairing the plant’s storage silos. Rather than using traditional scaffolding, installers rappelled down the outside of the silos (each 100 feet [30.5 m] high) in order to inspect and repair degraded concrete – saving time and money in the process.
