We are excited to officially announce our first-ever construction outlook report: the 2021 Autodesk Construction Outlook.
Our team decided to take a different approach, combining Autodesk product data with economic indicators to reveal industry trends.
We uncovered some really interesting stats, like:
• As of January 2021, bidding activity was up 36% over pre-pandemic levels
• New starts are up in 2021, but starting backlog in 2022 could continue to slide
• Nonresidential construction spending will drop in 2021, yet healthcare and commercial retail is projected to rebound in 2022
