METAL BUILDING SYSTEM GOES FOR THE GOLD IN REDESIGN

After an electrical fire devastated a gymnastics academy, a pre-engineered metal building system from Robertson Building Systems provided the design solution.

Robertson Building Systems provides state-of-the-art and custom-designed facilities for
recreational and community buildings. Robertson structures withstand the test of time and can be designed with clear span framing up to 65 ft, allowing for unobstructed and column-free interior space.
When the Brantford Gymnastics Academy (BGA) was destroyed in a fire, rebuilding the new facility was put on an ambitious timeline. With a pre-engineered metal building system from Robertson, the existing width of the old structure was able to be maintained, which maximized the amount of interior floor space needed for the gymnasium’s equipment and operational layout. The new 1207-m2 (13,000-sf) building nearly doubled the size of the previous gym, giving the athletes a revitalized second home.
Using additional Robertson products, such as a standing-seam Double-Lok® roof system and fire-resistant ThermalSafe® insulated metal panels (IMPs), the new Brantford Gymnastics Academy was completely customized, giving the owners peace of mind with the facility rebuild.
