Supremex to cut 41 jobs in cost-saving measure

Supremex, headquartered in the Montreal community of LaSalle, says it plans to reduce operating expenses at its Canadian envelope operations as it works to diversify its business to include more packaging products.

Southwest Bindings has changed its name to better reflect its product offerings. Now going by Southwest Business Products Inc., the 40-year-old company explains it completed “rigorous customer research” to determine if a name change was warranted and, if so, what name would resonate best with its target audience.


Pantone announces its colour of 2019

Pantone has announced Pantone 16-1546 Living Coral, an “animating and life-affirming” shade of orange with a golden undertone, as the Pantone Color of the Year 2019.


Burke announces its second acquisition of the month

In a continuing push to better serve customers throughout Alberta, the Burke Group has acquired Printcor, making it the Edmonton company’s second acquisition of the month, following its recent purchase of Topline Printing.

‘Aging’ Cape Breton press to close

Saltwire Network is closing the printing press for the Cape Breton Post, citing the aging nature of the press – “that would have required costly upgrades in the near future,” the company says – as a major factor in the decision.
