On November 7, nearly 200 people from across the country gathered in Toronto to celebrate the creativity and innovation of Canada’s printing industry. Now in its 18th year, the Canadian Printing Awards is organized by PrintAction and parent company Annex Business Media. This year, over 50 awards were presented in seven program sections: Industry Achievement, Print Production, Printing, Packaging, Labels, Technology and Environmental categories.

For the first time in its storied history, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) has an official print partner. The honour goes to Icon Digital Productions. For the Paris Olympics, Icon printed several banners, graphics, vinyl wraps, etc., for Canada Olympic House, the Canadian athletes’ residence in the Athletes Village and for COC’s fanfests in Toronto, Calgary, and Montreal.
