UPGC potato crop progress update

Several provinces are experiencing a shortage of old crop, and eastern provinces have finished planting after being delayed due to wet weather, according to the latest crop report from the United Potato Growers of Canada.


No late blight detected: Spore trap update for Ontario

Spore traps have been set up for the third year to detect late blight spores in Shelburne, Alliston and Simcoe-Delhi areas of Ontario. So far, no late blight spores have been detected.


BASF phases out products containing metiram

Please change the first sentence in the third news item to read: BASF will discontinue products containing the active ingredient metiram in response to a recent decision by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency. Metiram is currently a part of two products: Polyram DF (a stand-alone metiram formulation) and Cabrio Plus.
