Late blight spores detected in several Ontario counties

Late blight spores were found in Norfolk County near the end of July, and shortly after came reports of spores detected in Dufferin and Simcoe counties.


Late blight found on potatoes in Wisconsin

Late blight has been confirmed on potatoes in Wood County, Wis., on July 17. The sample was delivered to a vegetable pathology lab where its strain and mefenoxam resistance status will be analyzed.


Canadian potato production up from 2018

Canadian potato growers planted 3.3 per cent more potatoes in 2019. Seeded area increased in Alberta and Manitoba to keep up with a rising demand for processing potatoes in the regions.
