Late blight found in southern Ontario

Potato harvest is underway in Ontario, and a grower in Norfolk County has found a few Envol plants infected with late blight, according to an update from Eugenia Banks, Ontario potato specialist.


Cavendish Farms building $6M potato research facility in P.E.I.

Cavendish Farms is investing $6 million to create a new research and plant-breeding centre in New Annan, P.E.I., following the news of the closure of the O’Leary packaging facility in 2018.


Rain arrives after summer drought

The Alliston, Ont.-area finally received much needed rain in mid-August after being hit hard by a summer-long drought. The rain will help take pressure off irrigation.
