Slow-release fertilizer research shows no reduction in potato yield

New research on P.E.I. has convinced some Island potato farmers to switch over to what are known as enhanced efficiency fertilizers, that slowly release nitrogen when plants need it over the course of the season.


Potato holdings slightly down year-over-year

As of June 1, total Canadian potato storage holdings are down 3.3 per cent over 2022 numbers for the same period, and higher than the three-year average, according to a United Potato Growers of Canada report.


Azotic receives organic approvals for Envita in Canada

Azotic Technologies Ltd. (Azotic) announced its nitrogen-fixing products of Envita in Canada, as well as Encera in the United Kingdom, are approved for organic use.
