Statistics Canada has released its latest figures on the agricultural industry. The figures indicate that horticulture remains the most significant in terms of employing workers, representing roughly half of Canada's agriculture workforce despite accounting for less than 15 per cent of farm cash receipts. Nearly half of the country's workers are seasonal workers, although the number of full-time employees in agriculture has risen slightly.
