Production and Applications Technical Program |
The Nano 2017 Technical Program features 140 technical presentations. Sessions include the use of cellulose nanomaterials in biomedical applications, composites, electronics, paper and packaging. Characterization and functionalization of cellulose nanomaterials are covered in additional sessions. Sessions also address industrial production and safety and environmental issues.

FPInnovations specializes in the creation of scientific solutions in support of the Canadian forest sector’s global competitiveness and responds to the priority needs of its industry members and government partner. Tours will include stops at the CNC lab, pilot paper machine, aquatic biology, refiners, bio-sugars, cellulose filaments, and microscopy. The tour costs $25 and space is limited. International Activities In Cellulose Nanomaterials Compliments of the TAPPI Nano Division

A task group was formed within ISO TC6 - Paper, board and pulps - to address adapting current standards to include cellulose nanomaterials. As part of their ongoing work, this group produces an updated presentation once a year that summarizes international activities. Please take a look!
