DSS Valves - The Solution for Liquor Applications

CGIS is the sole Canadian distributor for the premier Severe Service Knife Gate Valves (SSKGVs) on the market today - DSS Valves. This exciting new brand offers zero leakage, bi-directional isolation that can isolate in ASME Classes 150 through 900.

Pulp mills work with tough applications that can produce scale which builds up in the piping system and valves. DSS Valves use a Guided Shear Gate design, making it a great choice for Pulp and Paper for the following reasons:


•		Breaking through scale becomes much easier as a stronger top works and wider gate provide strength when shearing through scale.

•		The valve design has excluded cavities and pockets that trap material, thus a perfect seal is enabled every time.

•		The shearing tip of the blade fractures and flushes away any scale. Internal gate guides prevent the gate from deflecting or warping, while a non-rising stem and dual transverse seal ensure there are no leaks to atmosphere.

DSS Valves are quickly becoming the SSKGV of choice for all liquor applications (white, black, and green). The valves come standard with stainless steel body and blades protected by a Xylan® coating. They offer a range of additional options should you need further protection from advanced materials or our patent pending SevereGuard™ FEP treatment.
