Kruger has announced a $377.6-million transaction to diversify operations at its Brompton and Wayagamack Mills in Quebec into specialty niches, such as flexible food packaging, labelling and digital printing.

Anomera — Montreal, Quebec-based company that converts raw materials from certified, biodiversity forest management origins into a proprietary, biodegradable, cellulose platform — has raised $1.7 million in financing to aid with its seed-stage phase.


Ingevity purchases Georgia-Pacific pine chemicals business

Georgia-Pacific LLC has reached an agreement to sell its pine chemicals business to Ingevity for $315 million, including certain pine chemicals-related assets at the Crossett, Ark., plant.
