Canadian grant helps fund the use of drone imaging in forestry

Quebec’s TÉLUQ University, in partnership with Groupe DDM, has received a $25,000 grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada to help fund the use of drone imaging in forestry.

Pulp Mill Taps into Green Energy with Evoqua’s Wastewater Treatment System

A large Bleached-Chemi-Thermo-Mechanical Pulp (BCTMP) mill was generating high-strength wastewater that needed to be responsibly treated. The mill decided to explore bio-methane for power generation and installed an ADI-BVF® reactor from Evoqua’s ADI Systems. This innovative technology allows the mill to comply with strict environmental regulations while reducing costs. By anaerobically digesting pulp mill effluent, chemical usage, sludge disposal, and electricity costs have been significantly reduced.
