US aims to double softwood lumber duty; BC ‘frustrated’ about ‘egregious’ decision

The U.S. has recommended a combined anti-subsidy and anti-dumping rate of 18.32 per cent to go in effect later in 2021.

The federal government says businesses in both Canada and the U.S. will be ‘hurt’ by the May 21 announcement that the U.S. plans to double duties on certain Canadian softwood lumber products.
