GreenFirst to revamp operations at Kapuskasing Paper Mill with government support

GreenFirst Forest Products is planning to restart the second paper machine at its Kapuskasing Paper Mill. The company received over $1.2 million from the Skills Development Fund of the Ontario government’s Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development.

British Columbia Supreme Court approves Northern Pulp’s mediation request

On April 1, the British Columbia Supreme Court approved Northern Pulp Nova Scotia’s (Northern Pulp) mediation request to appoint the Honourable Thomas Cromwell, C.C. as a mediator to assist in reaching a negotiated resolution of outstanding legal claims and disputes with the province of Nova Scotia.
