Kruger plans $24M carbon capture and reuse system at Quebec mill

Quebec-based pulp giant Kruger, and U.S.-based start-up Mantel Capture Inc., are partnering on the world's first demonstration-scale carbon capture system in the pulp and paper industry at Kruger's Wayagamack Pulp and Paper Mill.


Kemira shutters British Columbia manufacturing site

A new release by Kemira says the company plans to consolidate some pulp and paper chemical production in North America, resulting in the closure of a manufacturing site in Vancouver, B.C. The Vancouver site produces process and functional chemicals for the pulp and paper segment.


Cascades shakes up executive leadership

Cascades Inc. will enact organizational changes to support its strategic growth, according to a new release by the tissue giant. Changes, set to be inaugurated Nov. 11, are meant to strengthen alignment, increase agility, improve execution and accelerate decision making within the organization.
