Rayonier and PotlatchDeltic announce massive merger

The forest products sector in the U.S. received news of a massive merger on Oct.14 when Rayonier announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to combine in an all-stock merger of equals with PotlatchDeltic, creating the second-largest publicly traded timber and wood products in North America.


Promising sign emerges for idled Ontario paper mill

Kap Paper could soon be coming out of idle thanks to the provincial and federal governments agreeing to a path forward that provides near-term stability to the mill while partners continue working on a long-term solution.
