Domino's franchisee cancer fundraiser raises $26K in St. Thomas, Ont.

On May 29, the St. Thomas community rallied to support the local Domino’s franchise as it raised funds to help 16-year-old Jesse Baughman, an employee who is battling cancer. That day 100 per cent of pizza sales went to the cause. The WeeklyNews.ca reports.

Inmates make artisan pizza via prison rehab program

Inmates at Cook County Jail in Chicago bake a couple hundred pizzas a week and deliver them hot to the cells of captive customers. The program is an effort to make jail a bit more humane while teaching new skills. The Toronto Star reports.
