Canadian ban on trans fats in force

Health Canada’s ban on partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) – the largest source of industrially produced trans fats in foods – recently came into effect. It is now illegal for manufacturers to add PHOs to foods sold in Canada.


Pizzeria's charity trailer found badly damaged

Oven company to hire pizza taste-testers

A portable pizza oven company is looking to hire 10 pizza taste-testers – "novices through to professional pizzaioli" – who will work from home and get paid anywhere from $300 to $1,000 a day. CNBC reports.
