Government announces new Canada Recovery Hiring Program and extension of business support programs

A new Canada Recovery Hiring Program will be available retroactively to June 6, 2021, to help hard-hit businesses hire the workers they need to recover and grow as local economies reopen.


N.B. extends summer tourism incentive program to include Atlantic provinces and releases tourism recovery and growth plan

New Brunswick’s new travel incentive program, aimed at boosting the tourism industry, will be extended to visitors from the Atlantic provinces when the reopening of the provincial borders allows. The department also has released “RSVP,” a plan to support the tourism industry to the end of the pandemic.


Regina woman says she lost $1,500 in pizza delivery scam

A Regina woman says her bank account was drained after what seemed like an ordinary pizza delivery. It appears a so-called delivery person has been fraudulently posing as an employee of restaurants. CBC News reports.
