NaturalShrimp completes first delivery to Gulf Seafood

NaturalShrimp, Inc. reported that it has made good with its first delivery to live shrimp to Gulf Seafood Inc. (GSI). The delivery is part of a commitment to provide 25,000 pounds of shrimp to the Florida-based company with distributes shrimp throughout North America.


Andfjord Salmon ready to fill first Andøya pool

Andfjord Salmon AS is making preparations to fill the first pool of its land-based salmon farm at Kvalnes on Andøya, with water. The pool, which is 20 metres deep, will hold more than 1,000 tons of salmon. The first pool was technically ready to be filled with water a few months ago, according to the company. However, Andfjord Salmon is testing pool functions with seawater, various equipment and components such as power adapters, sensors and the filtration system for discharge water.

Kingfish announces milestone for new U.S.-based facility

The Kingfish Company has announced the conclusion of its purchase of land for its new facility in Jonesport, Maine, USA. The purchase of land follows the approval of the two final permits from the State of Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) earlier in November. The acquisition of these final permits enable Kingfish Maine to move forward in pre-construction design and engineering, on schedule. » Read more

BioMar grows earnings despite logistics, cost challenges

Global aquafeed manufacturer BioMar reported increasing earning for the third quarter of this year despite a number of crucial challenges. The company’s Q3 2021 report indicate that volume sales grew by 11 per cent year-on-year and reported revenue was up by 17 per cent. However, the bottom-line results are affected by global increases in raw material prices, logistic costs, and energy prices, according from a press release from the Denmark-headquartered producer. » Read more
