Integrated Aqua completes RAS installation for salmonid research

California-based Integrated Aqua Systems Inc. said it has recently completed a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) installation for  Lake Superior State University (LSSU). The system will be used for the university's freshwater salmonid research systems.

Freshwater Institute offers in-person RAS course

The Conservation Fund's Freshwater Institute is offering a four-day course on recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). The course will run from Sept.19-22 at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC), in Shepherdstown, W.Va., USA.

Nordic ministers call for reduction of land-based aquaculture waste

An intergovernmental forum of Nordic ministers has recommended the reduction of land-based aquaculture waste streams. The call made by the Nordic Council of Ministers is the gist of council's Best Available Techniques (BAT) report on the reduction and reuse of emissions of land-based aquaculture operations in the region.
