Norwegian land-based salmon farmer, Proximar Seafood AS, is experiencing a positive development in Q3 results despite its turbidity issues. The current standing biomass is reported at 735 metric tonnes at the end of its third quarter, double from 360 metric tonnes of biomass reported at the end of Q2 2024.

The leader of North East Lincolnshire Council, Coun. Philip Jackson, has criticized efforts to stop a £120 million (US$159 million) onshore salmon farm. Aquacultured Seafood LTD’s farm was approved in November 2023, with a plan for it to be the U.K.’s first commercial-scale onshore salmon farm in Grimsby.
