South Korea’s first land-based salmon farm launches with AKVA technology

South Korea’s first land-based salmon farm, the Busan Smart Aquaculture Cluster, has begun operations using RAS technology by AKVA group. The farm was developed by GS Engineering &Construction and operated by its subsidiary Eco Aquafarm. 


Samherji raises €235M for land-based salmon facility in Iceland

Samherji Fish Farming, a subsidiary of Samherji hf., has completed financing of the first phase of its new land-based fish farming facility in Iceland. 


Eyvi joins Great Northern Salmon to develop RAS facility

Great Northern Salmon and Eyvi, a Norwegian RAS technology company, have partnered to accelerate land-based trout and salmon development in the U.S. As part of the agreement, Eyvi will serve as Great Northern Salmon’s RAS vendor, with its owners investing in the salmon farmer.
