A new government report outlines significant challenges to British Columbia's planned transition from salmon net pens to closed containment and land-based aquaculture production. Norway-based seafood investor, Broodstock Capital, has purchased a majority share in hatchery producer, Neptun Salmo AS. The investment will support development of a leading independent hatchery platform in Norway, according to the Broodstock website and PE Insights.

Laxey has successfully delivered its first batch of post-smolt to its long-term partner. According to a public statement, this delivery marks the launch for the company's "dual revenue" model to produce harvest-size Atlantic salmon while also supplying post-smolts to the traditional net pen farming industry in the region.
