Contractor departs Sudbury road repair project following testing delays

Ajax’s Road Surface Recycling Ltd. has left a repair project on sections of Sudbury’s Kingsway, Municipal Road 55, following delays from quality assurance testing by the city on the recycled asphalt used by the company.


Contract awarded for upgrades to Highway 1 in British Columbia

Construction is set to begin on a $243 million upgrade to Highway 1 in British Columbia’s Shuswap Valley region, with a contract awarded to Emil Anderson Construction. Work is expected to begin this fall and is estimated to take three construction seasons to complete, concluding by 2026.


Creighton Valley’s new bridge looks to mitigate flooding

Creighton Valley’s Daly Bridge is being replaced with a new two-lane bridge that will feature higher elevations to reduce flooding and washout potential from Creighton Creek. A contract of just under $4 million has been awarded to Copcan Civil Ltd. Partnership to carry out the replacement project.
