Takeuchi-US names Jeffrey Ratliff as director of sales and marketing

Jeffrey Ratliff has been appointed the new director of sales and marketing for Takeuchi-US. Ratliff replaces Henry Lawson, who is retiring after six years with the compact equipment manufacturer.

Lafarge Canada and Geocycle Canada collaborate on Low-Carbon Fuel Facility in Calgary

Lafarge Canada Inc. has commissioned its state-of-the-art Low-Carbon Fuel (LCF) facility at its Exshaw cement plant in collaboration with Geocycle Canada. The $38 million facility will reduce the plant's reliance on traditional fuels by replacing up to 50 per cent of natural gas used for one of its kilns. This alternative thermal energy is derived from construction demolition waste, primarily discarded wood that would otherwise end up in landfills and emit methane.
