Superior opens new crusher manufacturing facility

Superior Industries has opened a new crushing manufacturing facility in Morris, Minnesota.  Morris has been the company's headquarters and hometown since 1972. The new facility, dedicated to producing jaw and cone crushers, will increase Minnesota's crusher production capacity by 50 per cent.


Unemployment rate remains steady in Canada

Employment saw little change in October, following an increase in September. On a year-over-year basis, employment was up by 1.5 per cent.


Brandt becomes liquidator for truck leasing firm’s fleet assets

The Canadian trucking industry can anticipate an influx of aggressively priced premium used and reconditioned equipment in the coming months. Brandt Peterbilt has been appointed to disperse a portion of the fleet assets of a Mississauga-based truck leasing firm that filed for bankruptcy protection in March 2024. The assets include hundreds of late-model Peterbilt and Kenworth highway tractors, dump trucks and trailers, which are inspected and have fresh safeties before sale. 


JLG makes leadership changes for EMEAI

JLG Industries Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation business and a global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, has named Rogerio dos Santos vice president of the EMEAI region and global strategy/mergers and acquisitions for access equipment.


The Gardiner Expressway moves into second phase early

The Ontario government is starting the second construction phase on the Gardiner Expressway four months ahead of schedule. This results from the provincial government’s $73 million investment in the project on the condition that construction work proceeds 24/7.
