Employment rate rises for the first time since 2023

Statistics Canada (Stats Can) released the Labour Force Survey data for Dec. 2024. According to Stats Can, the employment rate rose for the first time since Jan. 2023. The employment rate increased by 0.2 percentage points to 60.8 per cent in Dec., after holding steady in Nov.
