Superior Industries patents HSI Closed Circuit Plant

Superior Industries Inc. has patented its portable Sentry Horizontal Shaft Impactor (HSI) Closed Circuit Plant. The newly patented recirculating conveyor delivers returning material back to the HSI with a centred, uniform feed. This centralized approach ensures full utilization of the crusher’s blow bars, significantly improving wear life and reducing cost per ton in recycled concrete, reclaimed asphalt, and other crushing and screening applications.

Evoquip launches first trommel

EvoQuip has launched its first trommel, the Osprey 616. This compact recycling trommel expands the EvoQuip product portfolio to provide customers with a solution for screening applications. Volvo CE releases new generation wheel loaders

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) launches its new generation wheel loaders, which are designed for productivity, operator comfort and safety. The five revamped models are the L150, L180, L200 High Lift, L220 and L260. Aside from a fresh design, these machines have even faster cycle times, performance, and unmatched operator comfort.

Alberta mine operates Komatsu’s largest hydraulic mining excavator

Komatsu Germany Mining Division (KGM) and SMS Equipment unveiled the first Komatsu PC9000 hydraulic mining excavator on May 1 during an official handover ceremony at Suncor’s Fort Hills mine in Alberta. The machine is currently the largest hydraulic shovel for surface mining in Komatsu’s lineup. The 900-tonne-class PC9000 features a larger bucket, longer reach and higher digging forces compared to previous models in the manufacturer’s PC series. Designed as a five-pass match for Komatsu’s 980E ultra-large haul truck, it enables double-sided loading for Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS), significantly improving cycle times and lowering the overall cost-per-tonne of material moved.
