Manitoba in early stages of twinning Highway 59

Manitoba is planning to twin 14.1 kilometres of Highway 59, which runs through Brokenhead First Nation. According to a Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure spokesperson, the design process has begun for twinning 14.1 kilometres of Provincial Trunk Highway (PTH) 59 from 3.9 kilometres south of South Beach Casino to PTH 12.


Mining and quarrying led to Canada’s GDP growth in July

Statistics Canada has released the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data for July 2025. According to StatsCan, the GDP grew 0.2 per cent in July, after edging down in June.
