While protecting endangered species is the responsibility of all us, it's great to see companies step up and use their resources to do so. Lafarge's work protecting the Blanding’s turtles is just one of the many ways the company is caring for our natural environment.

Lafarge Canada is doing its part to help sustain an endangered turtle.  Blanding’s turtles are a medium-sized turtle easily identified by their bright yellow throat and chin, as well as their domed shell, which resembles an army helmet, according to the Ontario government. 
Metso, a sustainable technologies and solutions company for the mining industry, celebrates its Services Certification program, designed to refine the skills and expertise of Metso field services. The company shares that from 2021 to 2024, Metso Academy certified more than 600 individuals with close to 1,000 certifications.
Premier Doug Ford, Greg Rickford, Minister of Northern Development and Minister of Indigenous Affairs and First Nations Economic Reconciliation, and Aroland First Nation Chief Sonny Gagnon signed a Shared Prosperity Agreement to upgrade infrastructure in Northern Ontario.
The Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) share $34.4 million will be invested in 32 road, bridge and culvert projects to support the export of goods and resources originating in rural municipalities.
