Thunder Bay takes proactive stand against borer

Thunder Bay, Ont. is taking a proactive approach in its plan to keep the destructive emerald ash borer at bay. After first detecting the destructive insect in the area last summer, the city is implementing a $6.3-million, 10-year strategy to stay on top of the insect.

Company wins contract to maintain par 3 golf course

A par 3 golf course and campground in the Grande Prairie, Alta. area will see maintenance operations handled for the next three years by Nitehawk Adventure Park. Nitehawk will dedicate staff to the Wee Links Par 3 Golf Course and the nearby campground at South Bear Park.


Ash tree removal comes in under budget in Norfolk

Removal of ash trees destroyed by the emerald ash borer in Norfolk County in Ontario has come in significantly under budget, but council members believe it's money that should never have required in the first place.
