B.C.’s oldest public course getting $3M drainage

Langara Golf Course – the oldest public golf facility in British Columbia – is getting a $3-million upgrade to its drainage system. The golf course has made headlines in recent months when Vancouver's mayor suggested the golf property be turned into a public park.

New life being restored to Bernie Arbour Stadium

The Hamilton Cardinals of the Intercounty Baseball League will have a newly renovated field to play on this season, thanks to a large degree to the damage it incurred during filming of television's "A Handmaid's Tale." The production company behind the show has swallowed the cost of making the necessary field repairs to Bernie Arbour Stadium.


Richmond to educate public about chafer beetle

Four educational awareness campaigns have been launched for this season in Richmond, B.C. to inform the public about invasive plants and animals. A session about the chafer beetle and lawn care is scheduled for June 21.
