Cottony ash psyllid joins threat against Winnipeg’s ash trees

It's not just the emerald ash borer that is threatening the health of ash trees. Adding to the threat are "jumping tree lice" – better known as the cottony ash psyllid – that is attacking Winnipeg's ash trees.

Dogs suspected for Toronto park’s turf failure

The turf at Toronto's Berczy Park has apparently gone to the dogs. Large bare patches at the Wellington Street park were thought to have been caused by a lack of irrigation, but it's now suspected that dogs are to blame.


Moncton bylaw: mow your lawn or be fined

Moncton has passed a city bylaw requiring all lawns, weeds and other grasses to be maintained under 20 centimetres in length. Failure to comply can cost property owners fines ranging from $140 to $2,100.
