Vandals hit Alberta golf course

Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka, Alta. sustained about $25,000 in damages to the course and some of its golf carts after vandals entered the property at night. They force started carts using a screwdriver and proceeded to damage the course afterward.


Blue Jays Care Foundation helps open new ball diamond

A new baseball diamond has opened in North Battleford, Sask., funded in part by the Blue Jays Care Foundation. An official with Battlefords Minor Baseball said the diamond would never have happened without support from the Blue Jays' charity and the city.


Rezoning will cost Vancouver neighbourhoods trees, green space

A loss of trees and less green space will be the result of a blanket rezoning of two residential areas in Vancouver. The objective of the rezoning is to create more housing choices in the vicinities.


FC star sounds off about BMO Field’s turf conditions

Playing conditions at Toronto's BMO Field have come under fire by no less than the FC's star player Sebastian Giovinco, who says the surface is leading to an injury a game. A new playing surface was planned prior to the 2018 season, but it was felt there wasn't enough time with the short off-season due to the MLS Cup and CONCACAF Champions League.

Parent worries about pesticide use on school field
