The Manitoba government is being asked to end its province-wide cosmetic pesticide ban. Steinbach city council has unanimously approved a resolution to seek an end to the ban, claiming approved products cost twice as much as outlawed pesticides yet they are not nearly as effective in keeping weeds away from city parks and sports fields.
